History behind the Divine Mercy Sunday

In 1930’s the world Prays a special devotion to Jesus as The Divine Mercy after the writings of Saint Faustina Kowalska, a Polish nun which she wrote a diary of more than 600 pages about the revelations she received about God’s mercy.

Even after her death the devotion to The Divine Mercy circulated in the world and has been accepted by the Roman Catholic Church.

The dove is the Symbol of the the Holy Spirit or the Holy Ghost in Christianity. As per the Bible the Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus like a dove as Jesus’s baptism in the Jordan River:

The dove is also represents peace. In Genesis eight after the flood, a dove returned to Noah with an olive branch in its beak, revealing the end of God’s judgment and the beginning of a new covenant with man.
